We are building a ‘virtual’ Girls Club to enable our instructors to continue to teach classes online, provide a safe social space for our members, and create a sense of family and community supports that promote mental health in these extraordinary times.
Girls who participate in 2020-21 GAP Girls Club will be part of the all new "Flipped Studio Experience" we will publish a weekly video lesson for girls to watch from home and then have the choice to MaKe from home or in-person at SBAP. Read more below about the "Hybrid" or "All Virtual" Girls Club Experience.
Girls who choose to participate with the Hybrid Model can sign-up weekly for a 90 minute or 2-hour session in the studio. Each girl will be responsible for watching the video lesson each week before attending their weekly in-person session. Sign-Up times will be between the hours of 12-5 on Saturdays and Sundays. Girls can sign-up for their in-person session week to week or in bulk. We will only be scheduling 2-4 girls in each session which is also during our regular open workshop hours. We will be taking temperatures at the door and asking students to wear a mask while in class.
Girls who choose to participate in the "All-Virtual" option will be responsible for watching the weekly lesson and doing their work from home. We will arrange pick-up times for girls to come get pottery supplies and clay. Girls who choose "Sewing and Design" may be responsible for buying a few materials to work from home.
