Clay CAMP 2019

Clay Camp at SBAP is a one-of-a-kind camp that takes place in a real pottery studio.  Students will experience pottery taught from the perspective of a resident teaching artist. Clay Campers will spend part of their day hand-building, and part of their day learning to throw on the potters wheel. Students will explore, design, and MaKe each week with unique concepts and themes. All camps are one week in length Monday thru Friday, register for each week individually. 

Summer Dreams


June 10-14

Ages 5-14 | K-8 | Cost $200

During this week of Clay Camp students will sculpt their summer dreams into surreal functional and non-functional art. Students will work with hand-building and wheel throwing techniques each day.

June 17-21

Ages 5-14 | K-8 | Cost $200

Clay Campers this week will create "Mystical Creatures"  while looking for magical and mystical abstractions found in nature as inspiration. Students will work with hand-building and wheel throwing throughout the we

Under the sea & Coral Reefs


June 24-28

Ages 5-14 | K-8 | Cost $200

Come learn about endangered coral reefs and under the sea around the world and make nature inspired art with meaning and purpose. Students will sculpt Coral Reef inspired landscapes and under the sea sea creatures while learning all about hand-building and wheel throwing.

After Care

There is no before care as drop-off is 8-9am. Aftercare 4-6pm

2 days: $25

3 days: $35 / 5 days: $45

Summer Art Show

There will be a summer student art show on Friday August 2nd 5-8pm.  Students from summer camp will have their art work on display for friends and family!

Fashion Design Camp 2019 - "Ecoture"



  1. Register for each week of camp by paying your deposit. We cannot guarantee placement until your deposit is paid.

9-10:30: Morning Studio 1

10:30-10:45: Morning Break & Snack

10:45-12:15: Morning Studio 2

12:15-12:45: Lunch

12:45-2:15: Afternoon Studio 1

2:15-2:30: Afternoon Break & Snack

2:30-3:30: Afternoon Studio 2

What to bring?

Students should bring with them the 

following items to camp.

  • Refillable Water Bottle
  • 2 snacks
  • Lunch
  • (1) t-shirt (light color or white)
  • Any supplies listed
  • No Cell Phones will be allowed during the studio day. Parents should call or text the studio during the camp day 314-773-3633

Meet Brittany


Brittany is an artist, educator, mother of two, and Dutchtown neighborhood resident who is an active volunteer in the community. Brittany works with the Pottery and Fashion Design Program and is the Teen Apprenticeship Co-Ordinator.

Meet Ron


Growing up right around the corner from SBAP, Ron has close ties to the neighborhoods of South Broadway.  He received his BFA in Ceramics from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  For the last five Summers Ron has worked as the lead pottery instructor at Cedar Lake Camp.
