Making multiples in a set is a common and challenging endeavor for potters. To successfully accomplish this task, you need to have a well-considered plan of attack.  Work out the kinks and learn some helpful tips and tricks and ease into a rhythm and fine-tune your process making multiples in a set of plates, bowls and tumblers while having meaningful learning opportunities to work out the kinks. Class also includes 8 hours of independent studio time Wednesday thru Sunday.

Supply Fees: One fee covers all supply costs at $6.50 a pound. All supplies are provided by SBAP and students only pay clay, glaze, fire fees for work you keep.

Instructor: Ashley Nelson-Parrish

Journey into a new art or get out of your comfort zone and try new forms and techniques of how to throw on the potter’s wheel. Enhance your skills by learning how to center, open, pull and make small cups and bowls while learning finishing techniques such as trimming, pulling handles, carving and adding on in addition to  various painting and glazing methods. From beginner to advanced levels, this class welcomes all.  Class also includes 8 hours of independent studio time Wednesday thru Sunday.
