Clay Date Night is a totally unique date night experience in St. Louis! Bring your mom, partner, friends or co-workers. Whether you are a beginner at the wheel or just brushing up on techniques, we will meet you at your level. Watch a demonstration, work with a partner and more... Practice makes perfect and process over product has never been more fun!

During 2.5 hours of instruction you will learn the basics of wheel throwing. Students will keep their favorite piece of pottery and pick-a-color that we dip + glaze it in for you. Please arrive on time as class starts promptly on time, and seating in class begins 15 minutes prior to class start time. Usually pottery is ready for pick-up in 2 weeks but sometimes it is longer. $60 per person covers: clay, glaze & firing.
All sales are final, we do not give refunds for missed, skipped or cancelled classes and reserve the option to reschedule classes if needed. If you should need to reschedule please send us an email 7 days before your class date. Sold out classes and large group reservations may be exempt from the option to reschedule. If you have an issue with attendance outside of the 7 days give us a call and if we have someone to take your spots in class we certainly will try to accommodate.

Much of pottery is all about using proper techniques to achieve desired results. Sometimes, circumstances beyond our control arise when handling student pottery and kiln firings. While we teach students to prioritize process over product, we will also always go above and beyond to help you achieve that final product, even when it means we must start over and try again. If your pottery doesn't make it, we will give you the option to replace it with something else already made or to come back and try again. Usually all glazed pottery is ready for pick-up in 1-2 weeks but sometimes it is longer. SBAP does have wine openers, and glasses or feel free to bring your own.

Pottery Pick-up
Pottery will be dipped in studio glaze by the instructor. Glaze colors can vary but usually are: sage, cobalt, iron red, white, and turquoise. Pottery is usually ready for pick-up in two weeks but sometimes it is longer.
