The purpose of Teen Apprenticeship & Girls Leadership is to empower all teens, girls, and gender-expansive youth ages 12-18 how to become “change makers” and “thought leaders” through an apprenticeship in the arts. We currently offers classes in Pottery, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and College Portfolio
What is TEEN APPRENTICESHIP & GIRLS LEADERSHIP?
Teen Apprenticeship & Girls Leadership puts teens, girls and young women of all identities, genders and different backgrounds at the center of a more "feminist" way of learning how to enhance their own lives and community through art while also becoming apprentices, leaders, activists, and future entrepreneurs.
CLASS TIMES + Weekly Meeting:
Wednesdays 4:30-6 pm Or Thursdays 4:30-6 pm
WED: 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11
THURS: 8/29, 9/5,9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10,10, 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5, 12/12
If students are absent from a class, they are invited to attend the other day, Wednesday or Thursday, or double up on class times.

PURPOSE
"FEMINISM" quite simply is about ALL genders having equal rights and opportunities. The purpose of Teen Apprenticeship & Girls Leadership is to empower and teach all teens, girls and gender expansive youth ages 12-18 from diverse backgrounds and identities how to become “change makers” and “thought leaders” through apprenticeship in the arts. We currently offers studio experiences in Pottery and Design.
Whole Self Approach
With the “Whole Self” approach, participants overcome adversity, perceive opportunity, develop self-confidence, make ethical decisions and healthy life choices, thrive academically, embrace leadership, and have the ability to enter middle school, high school, college or the workforce as fully prepared and connected adults.
Pottery
Students learn all about Pottery from expert instructors. 1st year apprentices will learn the basics, 2nd year: will learn how to spread their wings, 3rd year: will choose a focus, 4th, 5th, & 6th year apprentices will do work study, internships, college portfolio preparations and more.
MENTORSHIP TRAINING

STRONG GIRLS VIRTUAL FILM FESTIVAL
Free | 6th - 12th Grade
Throughout Teen Apprenticeship & Girls Leadership we will be watching and celebrating movies that represent strong girls as a lead character as well as creative activities to go along with each movie.

Women's History Month is Everyday

Throughout the Teen Apprenticeship & Girls Leadership we will be learning about famous and not-so-famous influential women artists
